The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage at Santa Monica College opened in October 2008 to bring theater, dance, film, opera, musicals and symphony and chamber orchestras to Westside audiences. Supported by a $10 million programming endowment from The Broad Foundation, The Broad Stage has drawn headline artists to perform at the 499-seat intimate theater. In addition to the main stage, a smaller black box theater called The Edye showcases innovative new work from emerging artists.
