Increasing Public Access to the Arts
For the past 50 years, Eli and Edythe Broad have worked to make great contemporary art and world-class architecture an essential part of life in Los Angeles for residents and visitors. From supporting the LA Opera and The Broad Stage to founding the museum that bears their name in downtown Los Angeles—which offers free general admission to encourage everyone to experience contemporary art—the Broads’ philanthropy in the arts has enriched public life and established Los Angeles as a global arts capital.
